On 16-17 January 2023, the International Organization for Migration facilitated a bilateral meeting between the Government of Cambodia and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand on the standard operating procedures for case management on repatriation and reintegration of human trafficking survivors.
The meeting was chaired by Secretary Nhek Vannara, Cambodia’s Secretary of State, Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation, and Ms. Pinya Chamroonsat, Director of Thailand’s Division of Anti-Trafficking in Person of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The discussions concluded with an agreement on the annexes to the standard operating procedures.
