FED kicks off COVID-19 response through the Kawthaung Migrant Worker Resource Centre

ILO and the Foundation for Education and Development (FED) have signed an agreement to resume activities of the Migrant Worker Resource Center (MRC) in Kawthaung, Myanmar. Activities started 1 August with FED prioritizing provision of COVID-19 informational materials, masks and hand sanitizer, and food assistance to return migrants and others in need of assistance. So far, FED has delivered assistance packages to 79 migrant workers (including 41 women) at the Nawarat Quarantine Center, the COVID-19 Medical Center at 4 Miles and the Aye Yeik Nyein Patient Monitoring Center in Kawthaung.
