The ILO partnered with Stella Maris to convene a meeting of key stakeholders to promote their newly established partnership on 13-15 December. It was attended by chaplains from 15 Stella Maris centres and Bishop Promoter H.E. Ruperto Santos. The partnership is intended to support dissemination of the Migrant Fisher Information Packet to communities served by Stella Maris. It will enable empowerment of potential migrant fishers with rights-based information so that they are better prepared before going abroad to work in the fishing industry.
