The International Labor Organization (ILO) recently visited Pursat province for a hands-on training session with the Migrant Worker Resource Centre (MRC) on providing effective safe migration services to current, returning, and potential migrant workers in the province. During the visit on September 27-28, the ILO team conducted interviews with returning migrant workers to better understand the challenges they face. Many of the migrants interviewed voiced concerns about deceptive recruitment practices by local brokers and a lack of knowledge about how to file complaints. In response, the MRC is stepping up efforts to raise awareness about safe migration and access to justice in these communities.
