In Indonesia, IOM joined 18 representatives of non-government organizations and other international organizations to share their views on Indonesia’s draft National Action Plan on TIP 2020-2024. Based on the current analysis of TIP cases, Indonesia considers the

gender lens to be a priority in designing TIP prevention and response. IOM, Migrant Care, and Jarnas TPPO shared that trafficking also occurred in the fishing industry and have specific gender characteristics, and advocated that measurable efforts to prevent and respond to TIP in the fishing sector is essential for the National Action Plan.
