On 28 June 2021, IOM convened the bilateral meeting between Thailand-Cambodia on case management and the repatriation and reintegration of victims of trafficking, which aimed to improve protection and support for trafficking victims across all sectors, including fishing and seafood processing. The joint meeting took place to share information regarding victim assistance, follow up on victim assistance after reintegration to the country of origin, and establish guidelines in strengthening cooperation of victim assistance for combating human trafficking, including victims of the trafficking who exploited in the fisheries sector
