UNDP in partnership with Cambodia’s Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) organized a two-day national workshop and consultation on 14 -15 May 2022. 

The event convened 70 key stakeholders working in counter-trafficking in Cambodia from sectors including government, civil societies, international development partners to collaborate under design-thinking exercises to explore potential Trans-National Referral Mechanism (TRM) pathways for the GMS to enable standardized repatriation, as well sustainable and responsive protection and reintegration of trafficked persons, especially vulnerable migrants.  Key implementers of counter-trafficking efforts in Cambodia also revisited implementations of the COMMIT 4th Sub-Regional Action Plan (SPAIV) – the strategic plan guiding the Coordinate Mekong Ministerial Initiative Against Trafficking (COMMIT) to identify best practices in trafficking responses and synthesise lessons learns to pave ways forward for agile responses to shifting trafficking modalities caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
