Ship to Shore Rights SEA trained over 95 new and experienced labour inspectors on forced labour in fishing. The training was part of ILO/Safe and Fair Project’s labour inspectors training programme with focus on women migrant workers, domestic workers, forced labour and violence and harassment. During the training session, labour inspectors discussed risks and challenges in the fishing sector and familiarized with the ILO forced labour instrument and work in fishing instrument and its operational indicators in identifying forced labour. The training helped new and experienced labour inspectors be more informed about labour issues relevant to Thailand’s fishing and seafood processing sectors.
