The Raks Thai Foundation (RTF) was established on August 15, 1997 as a Thai successor to CARE International (Thailand) in promoting strong communities and assisting the disadvantaged in society. Raks Thai Foundation works to improve access to healthcare, including mental health facilities, for migrant workers in Thailand, works to raise awareness of labour rights among migrant workers, and provides coaching to community leaders to improve their confidence in representing workers. Rak Thai Foundation has offices at a number of Thai ports, including Samut Sakhon, Pattani, and Trat.
