The Oceans and Fisheries Partnership (USAID Oceans) is a USAID-funded activity, working in partnership with the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), the Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF), and a wide range of public and private sector partners at regional, national, and local levels, to combat IUU fishing, promote sustainable fisheries and conserve marine biodiversity in the Asia-Pacific region. The project established a regional Human Welfare Technical Working Group that is working together to develop guidance on gender integration and labor standards in the fisheries sector and initiated grants process in Indonesia and the Philippines to address gender equity needs in specified seafood supply chains.
