The Sustainable Seafood Coalition (SSC) is a partnership of businesses co-operating to address important issues in fish and seafood sustainability. The SSC Sourcing Code outlines general good practice in fish and seafood sourcing which will be used by SSC members to inform their own policies for fish and seafood procurement. SSC membership currently represents the majority of UK retailers and seafood businesses within the seafood industry, as well as businesses from the foodservice sector such as restaurants, fish and chip shops, and their suppliers. The members cooperate to create and implement two voluntary codes of conduct.
