On 12 and 19 May 2024, the ILO supported the National Union Alliance Chamber of Cambodia (NACC) to organize two community forums on safe migration in Preak Phdav and Angkor Bory Communes of Takeo Province. Takeo is considered to be a very significant area of origin for Cambodian migrant workers headed to Thailand, particularly for work in the seafood processing sector.

Facilitated by local leaders within each of the target communes, the modality of community forums supports an open and participatory dialogue on migration issues among potential migrant workers. During the two forums, a total of 204 participants joined in the discussions and were provided with timely and accurate information on migrating for work.
