Migrant Worker Resource Centres (MRCs) and implementing partners of the Ship to Shore Rights South East Asia programme in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic participated in a training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) on 16-17 March.

Participants from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Lao Federation of Trade Unions, Provincial Department of Labour and Social Welfare, Bolikhamxay and Village Focus International attended the training, which addressed the documentation and analysis of results to improve the impact of activities.

The training is part of efforts to increase the capacity of MRCs and implementing partners to take a more results-based approach to their work. It is also part of the ILO’s long-term sustainability strategy, which aims to build local technical capacity and project design skills to support the resource mobilization efforts of its partners.
