The ILO and IOM organized the 8th cross-border cooperation meeting between Thai and Myanmar civil society organizations and trade unions in a hybrid format in Mae Sot, Thailand. The meeting provided an important opportunity to share information and identifying priority actions for collaboration to strengthen cross-border provision of information and services on safe migration. In addition, the initial research findings from “Unchartered Territory: An Assessment of Migration Brokerage Practices in Myanmar since the Military Takeover” were shared with the participants. Simultaneous interpretation in Myanmar, Thai and English languages was provided to facilitate social dialogue.
