The ILO supported MRC in Tachileik, Myanmar operated by Mawk Kon Local Development Organization marked International Women’s Day on 9 March. The event drew over 110 attendees (106 women), including representatives from Akha, Lahu and Shan ethnic organizations. The day was filled with activities aimed at fostering awareness about gender equality and women’s empowerment in the context of migration. Attendees participated in engaging games and discussions designed to highlight these critical issues, as well as receiving informational materials in both Shan and Myanmar languages on safe migration and MRC services.

ILO Launches Informational Brochures for Vietnamese Fishers on Labour Rights and Safety and Health
The International Labour Organization has published two essential brochures aimed at empowering Vietnamese fishers. The first brochure, titled “Stay safe and healthy while working on
