With funding from the ILO Ship to Shore Rights South East Asia programme, CENTRAL will establish a Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) in Banteay Meanchey province in Cambodia. The MRC will support potential and returning migrant workers with essential information and services.

Services include training and provision of informational materials on safe migration and labour rights, capacity building training, networking for migration stakeholders, legal assistance with migrant complaint cases and provision of support for return and reintegration of migrant workers. Drawing upon CENTRAL’s long experience in providing services to Cambodian migrant workers, the MRC in Banteay Meanchey will have the capacity to serve multiple roles. The main objective will be to create a space for domestic and international migrants to come together in solidarity to learn, build community, and safely access the necessary resources for safe migration and protection of labour rights. The establishment of the MRC comes at a time where high influxes of migrants are returning to Cambodia due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
