Exploring innovative technologies for strategic compliance in labour inspections in fishing in Thailand

Ship to Shore Rights supported dialogues to foster collaboration between Department of Fisheries and Department of Labour Protection and Welfare in Thailand. Together, the two departments explored the possibility of using existing vessel monitoring data to select high-risk fishing vessels for inspection, and to improve rates of detection of violations during inspections. The departments committed to the next steps in sharing data with the common goal of improving the vessel monitoring data and detection of labour violations.
