Ship to Shore Rights SEA accompanied the Central Economic Commission of Viet Nam on visits to Thanh Hoa and Phu Tho to see the situation of labour migration from the perspective of migrant workers, and discuss ways forward for effective support. The activity contributes to Viet Nam’s plan to identify strategic priorities to address the biggest challenges facing migrant workers. Members of the Central Economic Commission met with provincial leaders and migrant workers. The views and experiences shared throughout the visits, especially by migrant workers, will be take into consideration to identify policy directions for Viet Nam. The strategy will aim to maximize the benefits of labour migration for the worker and the country, while promoting safe and fair migration for all.
