Gearing up for the Establishment of the Laws and Regulations Harmonization Team in Indonesia Fishing Sector

Ship to Shore Rights SEA had a meeting on 17 February 2022 with the Directorate of Labour Norms Investigation of the Ministry of Manpower

Indonesia. The session aimed at preparing for the establishment of the Laws and Regulations Harmonization Team in Indonesia Fishing Sector where the Directorate reiterated their support. The team will coordinate between labour inspectors and law enforcers in other relevant Ministries in order to improve monitoring and implementation of relevant labour standards on-board fishing vessels. The meeting was attended by Director Yuli Adiratna, Faried Abdurahman Nur Yuliono, the Head of Legal Affairs and International Cooperation of the Directorate General of Labour Inspection and OSH, a number of labour inspectors at the Ministry of Manpower and the National Programme Coordinator of Ship to Shore Rights South East Asia Programme in ILO Jakarta Office.
